The NPL Season starts this weekend with games on Friday night

The guest lineup Saturday February 24 is:

Rabeih Krayem the Chair of the Australian Association of football clubs will be discussing the national second Division and his meeting with the FFA earlier this week and the AAFC national speaking tour.

Dean Evans Captain of Floreat Athena fresh from the Night series final victory will talk about that and the game against newly promoted Forrestfield at Hartfield park held on Friday night.

Sarah Walsh former Matilda and now Match commentator will previewt the Matildas game in Perth, The Womens World cup and the Matildas aim to be the number one nation in women’s football.

Peter Saisanis the Glory e-player will be sharing his version of the sport in the ELeague Aus competition. His victory over Wellington last week earned him the inaugural @Themasterbucks Player of the round award.

Football Wests’ Alex Novatsis will be talking about the rule changes this season which have certainly engendered some debate on facebook. We will also discuss youth player retention and the ins and outs in the Football West team.

In our third week back on air in 2018, Pen and Pete catch up with the week in football.

It’s the NPL Night Series final and Subiaco and Floreat face off Saturday night. The tenth WLeague grand final lands this weekend with Lisa DeVanna’s Sydney FC playing back to back Champions Melbourne City, the Matildas will play at NIB in March and tickets are already on sale. It’s the business end of the Aleague season, so we chat Sydneys great run and where Perth Glory are at.

With the NPLWA winners all done and dusted its time to decide who will fill the last spots in the NPL and State Leagues.

Mandurah City will host Forrestfield United in a winner takes all battle for the final spot in the mens WANPL. In the State League, Morley face off against Waneroo, whilst Gosnells play Swan United with the winners of the two legs playing off for a place in the Men’s State League Division One.

The Women’s Play Offs are under way next week to cement places in Premier and State League Division One. Premier team Bassendean and Division One’s second placed Stirling Panthers will be working hard to win the two legged play off.

Football West unveil the NPL Review, with some major changes coming in 2018 and the Matildas dominate against a star studded Brazil.

The announcement of more Matildas games comes as no surprise after the sell out and success of the Brazil Series.

It’s Finals and Representative Honours Time. Bayswater have taken out the NPLWA and Top Four Cup and now go on to challenge Heidelberg at Inglewood on Sunday for the NPL Champions Trophy. The WA State team drew with Perth Glory on Wednesday night. Wleague fixtures are out. Bunbury, NIB and Dorrien Gardens share the spoils. The new Wleague pay deal will hopefully cement the pathway for our young stars making tough sport choices. West Aussies Lisa DeVanna and Sam Kerr lead the Matildas on Saturday against Marta and the Brazilian team in front of a sell out crowd in Penrith. The ParaRoos are flying the flag in Argentina and the Socceroos have to work hard to make the World Cup, with Syria next up in October.
