Perth Glory Women stars meet future Matildas

Perth Glory Women midfielder Shannon May meets some of the female QBE Country Week competitorsThe Perth Glory Women’s team are getting ready for their season opener away to Melbourne Victory on Saturday 22 October, but took some time out from their hectic training schedule to watch some of the next generation of stars at the recent QBE Country Week. .
The team trained at the QBE Country Week venue, Beale Park, twice throughout the week-long championships, to give the regional competitors a sneak peak at this year’s new squad, as well as provide an opportunity for the youngsters to meet some of their idols.
Perth Glory Women players Tanya Oxtoby, Elisa D’Ovidio and Shannon May, as well as injured Westfield Matilda Sam Kerr (whom this year’s Under 14’s Girls competition is named after) made sure to greet the future stars, and took time to sign posters, boots and shirts as well as pause for some happy snaps!
