RIP Ian Hooper

January 08, 2016 By: Penny Category: Club Noticeboard, History

I’m devastated to hear that I missed Ian’s passing and funeral over the Christmas Period. I remember Ian from his radio days hosting his football show and talking EPL, his love of all things Kingsley SC and his passion to talk football. Always up for a chat: a lovely guy.

Thanks to John Markham for this:

Kingsley Soccer Club are extremely sad to announce the passing of Ian Hooper. Ian has been involved with Kingsley for 25 years as a Coach, Manager, President, Secretary, Treasurer and Committee Member as well as a keen statistician and lifelong fan. He is also well and widely known and cared about in the Football West Community. Our deepest and heartfelt condolences go out to Ian’s family across the Country and in the UK. He will be sadly missed by everyone at the club, always present to share his love of Kingsley and to tell you how many goals the club has scored over its 25 years.
