WA State Coaching Conference

October 30, 2013 By: Penny Category: Club Noticeboard

The next State Coaching Conference will provide Community and Advanced coaches with the tools to create a quality training environment using the new Football Federation Australia National Curriculum.

Football West, in conjunction with FFA, will conduct the conference over two days on November 23 and 24 (9am to 5pm) at Perth Soccer Club’s Dorrien Gardens in North Perth.

The cost is $90, including GST, for coaches wishing to take part in the one-day Community course only, and $220 for two days.

The course will bring to life the Skill Acquisition and Game Training building blocks. Day one will start with a keynote address before delegates attend either Community or Advanced theoretical and practical workshops.

Although the second day will focus entirely on Advanced coaching, Community coaches can pay the additional fee and attend both days.

Advanced coaches will be required to attend both days to earn 50 points towards re-accreditation. There are no advanced re-accreditation points accrued for attending only one day.

Football West technical director Cris Ola said the WA State Coaching Conference was suitable coaches of all levels of experience and accreditation.

The conference will be presented by accredited FFA and Football West personnel. It will incorporate both theory and practical sessions with a focus on the recently launched Version 2 of the FFA National Curriculum.
