Girls Skill Acquisition Program

The 2014 Smarter Than Smoking Girls Skill Acquisition Program will provide young players with age-appropriate training to progress through Football Federation Australia’s recognised talented player pathway.


It is a year-round program, which aims to teach players, aged 8 to 12, functional game skills and give them the necessary technical tools to play the game at the highest level.

It is anticipated the SAP squads will train twice a week, from February next year, and have games organised monthly against relevant opposition.

Trials will be held on:

Monday, November 25 – 5:00pm, Gibbney Reserve, Maylands

Saturday, November 30 – 9:00am, Gibbney Reserve, Maylands

Age groups are:

8-10-year-olds ( Head Coach- Jessine Bonzas)

11-12-year-olds (Head Coach – Salv Todaro)
