Club workshop- coming soon

September 14, 2013 By: Penny Category: Women's Standing Committee

What agenda items would you like to see on the upcoming club workshop planned by Football West and the Women’s Standing Committee?

Some suggested topics include

the new NTC restructure and how it will affect the women’s competition (there may be a bye in the premier league),

Overcoming low numbers in the state league and how we can help clubs overcome overplaying players and adhere to a duty of care, better club management and the like, to make the state league solid and stable. One suggestion is to put reserves games as lead up to the first team games in state league to align with the NPL and encourage clubs to build their numbers, especially with junior teams,

how will the men’s NPL structure affect women’s football next year,

what is happening with the women’s competition review (will clubs have to affiliate with men’s clubs, will there be club mergers and league restructures?),

how Football West and the WSC can help clubs prepare for state league entry or plan for entry in future years,

cups,

finals,

night series structures,

refereeing.

Email socceron@womensoccer.com.au or your local Women’s Standing Committee representative via the Football West web page or Elisa Dovidio elisa.dovidio@footballwest.com.au, who is working with the WSC to put your suggestions into the workshop so we can make 2013 an even more progressive year for women’s football.

Football West will be conducting a strategic planning forum before next season with longer term challenges on the agenda. This is a separate meeting to the club workshop above. More information on this shortly.

These are some of the outcomes from the Women’s Standing Committee meeting this week.
