Subiaco AFC is seeking applications from a suitably experienced coach for the 2017 season. The club, based at Rosalie Park in Subiaco, is considered one of the best football clubs in Perth with a history that dates back over 100 years. With numerous junior, men’s and women’s teams the club is well placed for a strong future.

The opportunity to coach is currently for the Women’s State Firsts Team. Working closely with the Coach of the Reserves Team you will lead the squad’s skills, tactics and fitness. You must be able to attend training on Tuesday and Thursday nights as well as games on Sunday. You will also be required to be involved in additional competitions such as the Night Series and the Women’s Cup.

Football West, in conjunction with the State Government, is offering the chance to win an exclusive tour of the Perth Stadium and Sports Precinct.

Simply register to play football in 2017 before January 31 and complete the entry form here for your chance to win one of nine double passes.

The lucky winners will be among the first visitors to the new multi-purpose venue that is scheduled to open in early 2018.

Perth Stadium, nestled on the Burswood Peninsula, will be a world-class venue, capable of hosting major international football matches, including games featuring the Socceroos.

Winners will enjoy a 90-minute tour of the Stadium including a look at the team facilities and premium product areas. Winners will also get a close-up view of the surrounding Sports Precinct.

Tour attendees will hear about fans-first initiatives, including how the state-of-the-art stadium technology will add a new dimension to sports viewing, and be among the first fans to sit in stadium seats.

There will also be opportunities to check out the Sports Precinct artwork and learn how the facility will link thousands of visitors to the Stadium via the new Swan River Pedestrian Bridge and Perth Stadium Station.

Girls NTC coaching position available

Football West is seeking a goalkeeper coach for the National Training Centre girls elite development program.

The ideal candidate will have goalkeeper accreditation or willingness to complete this accreditation.

The successful applicant will be required to run goalkeeper specific training sessions for U13-U19 age groups on Wednesday and Friday evenings at Celebration Park, Balga.

Football West State Futsal Teams

Good luck players and coaches for the Futsal Championships in Sydney, January 4-8. It’s great to see long time Leeming player, Jess Sardi stepping into the coaching arena alongside mentors Sean D’Arcy, Salv Todaro and Garry Church. Jess played in the same Championships when she was developing her own Futsal skills. Well done and good luck everyone!

Four State Junior Futsal teams will represent WA at the National Futsal Championships in Sydney from January 4 to 8.

Squads were selected after a five-week trial process and have been training for the past ten weeks.

WA performed admirably last year with the U13 team reaching the quarter-finals, while the U12 side fell short in the group stages against strong opposition.

Squads were presented with their playing shirts at a presentation held at The Rise in Maylands before Christmas.
