WA’s Lucy Jerram and Bree Alexander represent WA and on their way to the UK with the Australian School girls football squad. The tour spans UK and Ireland January 13 to February 2. Great work to all the young ladies that worked hard to raise funds for their massive opportunity to represent their country.

Melville City FC. WSL Coaching Changes
I would like to announce the appointment of new head coach for our women’s 1st team. Renato Scarutto who comes very well-credentialed and has worked at several major clubs. With a background of more than 10 years at Fremantle United, Hammersley Rovers, Fremantle City and Back Packers. Renato is well positioned to take our young team forward and upward.
We hope you will all welcome Renato and provide the necessary support given to a newcomer at our great club.
Renato will be starting immediately so training on Thursday night will happen as normal at 6.15 – Alan Edwards Reserve, Kardinya, corner South St and North Lake Road.
I would also like to take the opportunity to sincerely thank our outgoing coach Gabby Walker Ortega, who stepped up when Melville needed her and gave our ladies teams her time and effort which translated to excellent results last year, gaining great respect in the WA football community.
As the 2017 football season rolls in I would like to remind you all that we are a strong community based club that relies heavily on our volunteers. So from the start of the season let’s show respect and support to each other and make 2017 one of the greatest years in Melville City football history.
